Overall Status/ Physical Performance – LOTS 1 & 2
- The contracts for Lot 1 (Construction of Buloba Substation and associated Transmission Lines and Upgrading of Mutundwe and Bujagali Substations) and Lots 2 Construction of New Mukono Substation and associated Transmission Lines, Upgrading of Kawaala Substation, and Reconductoring Works) were signed on 7th August 2023.
- The EPC Contractor received the full advance payment for both lots on 14th December 2023.
- Renewed ESIA certificate was obtained from NEMA on 9th February 2024.
- The official commencement date is 12th February 2024.
- Submission and review of designs is ongoing.
Overall Status/ Physical Performance – LOTS 3
- Contract for Lot 3 – Supply of the multi-ratio mobile substation (132/33-11kV, 20MVA) was signed on 19 May 2023.
- Design is 83% complete.
- Manufacturing of the Equipment is in progress and estimated at 39% completion.
- FAT for the power transformer is scheduled for 22nd – 25th April 2024.
RoW acquisition progress
- RAP Implementation is 92% (130 out of 141) complete.
